My Music Students

I really enjoy teaching music to my wonderful students! I have been a church musician for 26 years. I graduated from UCLA in 1971 with a B.A. in psychology. Later I attended Elim Bible Institute in New York for two years, majoring in Bible and Christian Education. In 1977 I taught piano and guitar in Jacksonville, Florida; however, due to illness and moving, I did not return to teaching music until 1993. Since then I have taught piano, guitar, organ, autoharp and voice in Christian schools, churches, homeschool groups, a music studio, students' homes and in my own home. In September of 2006, Lake Asbury Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, Florida opened a School of Music. I have 25 students ranging in age from 5 through adult. I present structured lessons in a fun, inspiring, patient and enthusiastic way. It's very rewarding to see students progress with their musical abilities on an individual basis. Our LABC School of Music held its first recital on October 14, 2006 - it was a wonderful occasion! We have had more recitals since then, and we are very proud of our students.
