My Church Home

South Middleburg Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida is a bright spot in our lives!  My husband, Donnie, and I are part of a friendly, loving, joyful, peaceful church family.  We appreciate the strong Bible teaching from our pastor, Rev. Delton Kilpatrick, and the caring Christian fellowship of the congregation.

If you don't have a church home locally, you are missing out on a spiritually strengthening and uplifting experience!  It may take awhile to find, but a friendly, Bible-believing church is a huge source of encouragement and a place where you can be connected with other believers.  Unless you are homebound, it is not enough to just watch Bible teachers and preachers on TV.  That is fine (assuming they teach God's Word and not false doctrine - sadly so prevalent today), but we ALL need a local pastor and warm fellowship with believers in our own communities. By being part of a local church, we can be edified through the preaching of the Word and also use our God-given spiritual gifts to help and encourage others during these perilous times.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof."

Hebrews 10:24, 25

"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good worksNot forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day [of the Lord] approaching."

There are no perfect churches, because there are no perfect people. We are all sinners saved by grace (Ephesians 2:8,9).  I want to hear the Lord say to me, "Well done, my good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21) when I get Home....and I know His will for me includes being in a local church.

I was saved ("born again") at age 36 in 1988.  My personal testimony, Religious But Lost, is at www.fms-help.com/salvation.htm.  This was the beginning of my "new life" in Christ!

II Peter 3: 18

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."
